The guy in all-white armor? I don't think so.
Allow me to elaborate further...
*They hate life and all existence *Never smile, laugh, or so much as nod *They generally like the color black

Luca Blight pretty much fits all of those... a soldier of an army doesn't necessarily have to like the colors he must wear.
Not to get off-topic, but I thought this was a personal opinion type of thread... do we really need to be judged on what we personally think is good? Why is Gothic necessary for a villain? What's wrong with the twisted smile and insane laugh? You're judging with a mind that seems to be focused purely on Psycho Mantis, which is kind of strange because most insane characters DO smile and laugh.

Well then, I guess I could say Neclord is a good villain, he was also in both the first and second Suikoden. He was a runic vampire... he dressed in all black, hardly showed any emotions, hunted humans of a nearby village and lived in his own Gothic-esque castle and played an organ. How's that for you, blue? Still, the first two Suikoden games had a great storyline with wonderful characters (108 characters to join the party), both heroic and villainous. it just never even competed with Final Fantasy in terms of popularity.

I'm not sure how this will go over, but... Marx from Kirby Super Star. He first looks like an innocent little child, but his heart is full of darkness. Tricking Kirby isn't all that hard to do, but he got the sun and moon to start fighting as a diversion from his real plan, get to Nova and control Pop Star.

He's a perfect candidate.
Ever notice how Kirby, this cute little pink fluff-ball, has to fight all these badass villains.
Including 02, maybe the only villain in a Nintendo game that bleeds.

DDD. Sounds strangely arousing.
Galacta Knight and DDD don't cut it.

Well, I'll admit DDD is kinda pathetic even as Masked DDD (a few good Up-A hammer attacks and he's out cold). Galacta Knight started out pretty hard, but got more and more predictable as I kept plugging away. (Hammer helps ) STOP! HAMMER TIME!

Let's talk about VG villains that are actually relevant.

Never played any Kirby games other than Air Ride.
I will say this, though. GO DENNIS!
No, seriously, has to be Bowser from SMG. Looks VERY threatening in this game.

But in SMG, he caused the universe to explode! I think... that's what I got from it.
I still believe, though, that O' Chunks is the greatest villain of all time.

Kefka.
He poisoned an entire society, killing most of them including a main character's son and daughter, he kills another major character, the last two you actually got to watch, he's killed many, many more, he had an awesome theme, he took over the world, destroyed society as a we know it, making each and every soul in the world that had survived the loss of animals and plants, huge amount of deaths and suicides living in a soulless, solemn, fearing life while becoming practically a god.
Well, he pretty much had me at his laugh but the above is an added bonus.
