Orochi from Okami I know no one here besides me has played Okami but Orochi was so bad ass. He had 8 heads representing 8 elements and (SPOILER) he needed a scarifice every year or he would destroy (SPOILER) Kamiki Village. He also started the whole game adventure. (Even though it was a different evil guy in the end)

Kefka. I mean he was a mortal that rose to become a god. The dancing mad 4 tiers music as you rose up to fight him made it that much more epic.
"Nothing can beat the music of hundreds of voices screaming in unison!" - Kefka

KEFKA IS A CLOWN!
Kefka is not going to ever win in my eyes. He was killed by a guy named Buttz.
Wow.

...
Lol, Butz...
Yeah, it counts. One of the best RE games is a spin-off. Does THAT count?
No I'm screwing with you, but, Portal was sort of a spin-off from the Half-Life series, and GLaDOS was in that. Does that count?

I'm just saying, spin-off or not, it happened. Butz, one of the most pathetic heroes, killed Kefka.

Anyone who dies to the name of an anal body part deserves to be called pathetic.
That's like dying to a girl named Penis.

I'm gonna have to agree with most and say Kefka. He ruled the entire universe for a year, and he was an insane CLOWN. Same thing as the joker. Clowns just seem to be good villains.

Joker was awesome. Kefka is what you find in a jack in the box. he IS NOT badass. No evil laugh, no dark articles of clothing, AND NO BADASSNESS.

<---- *ahem*
- Kills without any thought, remorse, or care in the world for victim's well-being - Poisons a kingdom just to win a cheap victory - Ends the world, not like other villains who "almost" end the world - Did I mention he caused the APOCALYPSE?
Now that's badass ;D.

Every villain does that.
I'm talking about someone dark.

But what other villain has actually caused the apocalypse to happen? Lavos doesn't really count because of a whole bunch of time periods, and you could kill him before he bursts out of the ground anyway.

Now that's badass ;D. First: A villain that WOULDN'T do that either has a very clever goal planned or is a terrible villian Second: Cheap victories are not impressive; a lot of villians do it and some of those aren't even good villians. Third: He also lets you kill him. Ending the world is a fluke. Fourth: Read above.

*sigh* I don't think anyone's played fire emblem: Path of Radiance. Ashnard. He: -Controlled a whole country -Committed geoncide against the lagus (Beast-humans) -Tried to control a continent I could go on. But first, lets take a look at his dragon that he rides and his weapon:

Lavos counts because he does cause the apocalypse until the very end of the game. The rest of the times are usually not possible until the new game plus.

How about Luca Blight, from Suikoden 2. That guy was both powerful and crazy... he would make people act like dogs and beg for their lives, only to kill them anyway and laugh at their "pathetic attempts". He was both the heir to the throne of his own kingdom as well as the leader of the invading army, and he was *still* a fighter in a few of the large-scale battlefield fights. it took 3 separate teams of 6 characters and a volley of arrows to finally take him down, and that wasn't even the last fight! One of the things I really liked about Luca, however small, is the fact that he doesn't have any outlandish looking armor or a large ornate sword, and that he does NOT turn into some gigantic hideous monster for a final boss fight... he's just an insane human with an unnatural bloodlust.
