12/8 and 54/32 time signatures and maybe some extra notes won't hurt

12/8 and 54/32 time signatures and maybe some extra notes won't hurt Actually I would like more time signatures. Go for primes first: 5/4, 7/4, 13/4, 17/4, etc. Anything else, you can make do with 4/4 and 3/4. Having to repeat until it lines up with 4/4 or 3/4, or go dickspeed, is irritating.

How about a 'There are unsaved changes. Are you sure you want to quit?' Also, they should improve the loading menu. It's simple, but needs improving. Like: - When you load, it should say 'Do you want th save?' - A sorter thing. Where you can sort out the list of songs in alphabetic order, or date order. It's irritating trying to find a piece of music I done ages ago. - A rename tool. Like, if you want to rename a file because you spelt it wrong, or you want to keep it neat. - A delete button, like, if you have a plain useless song, you can select it and delete it to keep things neat. AND..... - Unlimited songs? Once, I made so much compositions, there was a limit where I wasn't allow to save songs, even though it said 'saved'.

Everyone considers AMS (Advanced Mario Sequencer) the sequel to MPC.

Number one request, don't use Macromedia Director to create the new version, but that's probably not an option, so. Disregard that.
Number two request, for the love of god, implement operating-system native file dialogs!!! Manually editing txt-based song list == made of fail. MPC should be able to recognize and open song files just by virtue of properly formatted files being present in the Prefs folder.
Number three request, there's a big bug switching back and forth from ARRANGE view and SONG view. Specifically, if you stop an arrangement while its playing one of the "middle" songs in the arrangement, because you want to edit that middle song, and then you click over to SONG view, you have kept the middle song's notes into the staff for your editing, however the program puts the INTRO song's filename in the SAVE box. If you click save without realizing, you've replaced your INTRO song file with the contents of the middle song you were trying to edit. I have shot myself in the foot a number of times, helps to keep good backups but still.
Also, it's irritating that the clicks are picked up when MPC is not the window in focus. It's not nice to come back from my Email window and find a sea of cars drowning the entire screen I was working on. I think even Macromedia Director (shitty dev environment btw) has the ability to detect window focus / minimize, if it's scripted properly enough.
Those would be my requests. Your mileage may vary.

There's only one thing i want in if there will ever be a V3... Unlimited song length! Everyone considers AMS (Advanced Mario Sequencer) the sequel to MPC. I cant use AMS. there's no sound for me. And one thing i don't like about it is that there is no Low A Glitch Note, so you need to have lower volume to have shorter cars (Dunno if it works, cause i never had any sound on it)

....lul double posting; don't do it 1. The new beta has fluidsynth compiled so sound works, I'm not sure about Macs though 2. There is a mute button so that you can mute notes that you have places 3. If you have any problems, you should PM FordPrefect or post on the appropriate AMS thread.

Double post edited. Yeah, I agree with Larx and KM here; AMS is probably the sequel to MPC now, even though it's still in beta. And even now, the features are pretty good (:

Two Suggestions:
While playing, notes can be added and will play back, and the tempo can be changed.
Easier way to load songs into arranger, INSTEAD of having to go back into song mode

first priority is making the eraser sound effect quieter. that SQUEAK sound is slowly deafening me an instrument that creates white noise would be incredibly versatile and useful imo. You'd be able to make water sound effects, cymbals, wind and a bunch of other stuff with a white noise instrument. It wouldn't cut into the challenge of making MPCs, just make it possible to tackle more challenging songs the ability to type in a tempo instead of holding the +/- buttons. It's annoying when i accidentally click the tempo slider and have to hold the + button to get the tempo right again also, fixing tempo gaps would be kind of nice
