Oof! Well...my favorite Boss Battle Song is Demon Lord Ninetail's Extermination from Okami. Others? Well I don't know....
The Best game soundtracks IMO are Okami and Twilight Princess though.

... ... ... I don't know... Super Mario Sunshine had quite a few nice tracks... But then so did most of the Zelda games... But then, so do most Nintendo games... But then, it's really hard to choose if you bring the Xbox 360 and the PS3 into this aswell as all of the Nintendo consoles... But then, I have a problem when it comes to making decisions. It´s really hard but here are some of my favorite VG themes
Best NES song: Duck Tales "The Moon" and Ninja Gaiden Ending (when Ryu´s father dies)
Best GB song: Super Mario Land 2 main theme and ballad of the wind fish from zelda links awakening
Best SNES song: Can´t really pick one, most of my fav VG music is from the SNES
Best N64 song: Banjo Kazooie Final Battle and The great mighty poo from Conker´s bad fur day
Best GBA song: Proof of blood from Castlevania Circle of the moon
Best Gamecube song: Dragon Roost Island and the overworld theme from Zelda Wind Waker
Best NDS song: Professor Layton and the curious village theme
Best Wii song: World of Goo and most of the Mario Galaxy OST

No seriously, I do and I HATE it. My sentiments exactly! I like lots of Pokémon songs myself, but there are many Mario songs, as well as a bunch of songs from various other franchises that I like. I think the topic in question ;D is just too difficult to find a conclusion too. |

Omg, this is gonna be so hard. This is like asking a parent which one of their kids they love most... you can't really choose. I'll instead list what games I think has the best music and the biggest influence on me personally.
1. Final Fantasy VI - Some of the orchestrated versions of the songs from that game are breathtaking. FFVI is a BIG part of my childhood.
2. Chrono Trigger - Schala's Theme, Island of Zeal, ect. What can I say.
3. Chrono Cross - I sometimes put that soundtrack on a playlist before I go to sleep...soooooooo relaxing.
4. Super Metroid and the Metroid Prime series - I love the ambiance of the Prime music, it matches the environments perfectly. and Super Metroid is a CLASSIC.
5. I'll just say FFVII - FFX, hard to choose one in particular, they're all equally and uniquely beautiful.

- Kefka (FF VI)
- Doom Castle (Lufia)
- Nell's Theme (Advance Wars)
I'm not only judging the songs themselves, but also how they fit in their game.
