I did, yours is better.
Who are they to judge the song based on something trivial, the limitations? If that's how some of the famous composers in the world thought then we would not be far from our primitive ways.

I remember I got into a huge fight with his fanboys about how he uses these weird random sounds in his composition. It looks like the evolution of Mario Paint went like this: In the beginning there was TomBobBlender The next phase began with HCBailly After that, it got better with Levus And now we have theEvilGrimace *cough* (me)

Makes sense. Except, now almost everyone is in the 'EvilGrimace Era' except Blender.
Eventually, people are going to realize just how awesome the EvilGrimace era is. I mean, we have Dickspeeed, soundsets, and songs that sound like the OST.
He has random sounds, wrong notes, and crazy fanboys that probably haven't left their computer in months.

You're slightly before Levus. Here, have a Composer Cookie™

I'd say it's more like -TBB (Mario Paint) -AngrytigerP (MPC) -LoloGuru (Dynamics) -BrianLED (Echoes) -The Grimace (Dickspeed) -Satoshilyish (Soundfonts A) -Cat333Pokemon (Soundfonts B) -Ford Prefect (The new MPC)
Not many people come close to those last few in both skill and innovation (kacelano and johnfreeman come to mind)

You have to remember TBB's been using Mario Paint years before composer came out. He's made his name with mario paint. So what if he has limitations? Using Mario Paint is a lot different from using Composer. I see Mario Paint as a demonstration of skill, whereas Composer is more making the song sound like the OST (like you said). And can I ask, is it wrong to be impressed by skill and improvising? Sure, his compositions don't sound perfect, but he uses clever thinking and improvising to make it sound as good as it can get (unlike some videos, just take a look at my Route 209 video and compare it to his) Just my opinion, but editing a soundfont to get a sound matching soundtrack quality is extremely tedious and requires a tremendous amount of skill. Don't forget, HCBailly before Tiger.
Other then that I think that timeline sounds right.

Kacelano appears to be the next best composer with his latest videos.
TBB is impressive because of how he works with what he has. He was the first composer I ever saw about a year ago, and even then I thought he was entirely hit or miss. Look at his Tetris song. What the hell did he do to the end? He relies on the limitations and the remixing of the song to get views and subscribers. It doesn't even sound like the original song half the time.
Then sometimes he uses one single note for the main melody instead of half of them for a song and it sounds decent. He tries to use different sounds, for some reason I don't quite get.

Yes, he's relying solely on limitations.
Kacelano has been doing good lately.

Don't forget, HCBailly before Tiger. Other then that I think that timeline sounds right. Tiger had videos about a month before HC (and I don't consider HC to be better than Tiger, at least at that stage)

I'm aware, but HC still uses more primitive methods than Tiger.

Um, no. HC used more primitive methods than Tiger after Tiger. He was never ahead of the game.

I KNOW! That's what I've been saying all along, HCBailly does, has, and most likely, always will use more primitive methods than Tiger!

I'm compelled to agree with this about Blender.... I think someone should make a "good sounding" Mario Paint song on the ACTUAL game and then criticize Blender for doing it on a computer emulator.

This is actually one of his better ones. It has consistent precussion, and somewhat resembles the original, although the woofs and meows are overdone.

Not to mention the planes are close to mute, so a lot of the harmony and melody had blank spaces.

I'm telling ye, the first mario paint I ever heard was by Lolo. I then went into the related videos and found Blender, and I have to say, I was initially disappointed very. Well... I mean, c'mon, next to Lolo's Hyrule Castle? I'm afraid I must confess that I think that none of Blender's vids stand up to that.
