Could you perhaps upload that video in a format that can be played by both Mac and Windows? Use QuickTime. I suggest you remove the Mario, as it is really unnessesary and it seems to be slowing things down a little (plus, it looks awkward when he jumps on the stoppers). Otherwise, looks awesome. Good job, I hope to see a release soon.

After watching the videos... I must say, GREAT JOB, Ford! This is amazing; you hit a lot of the major points that everyone requested, and managed to make it look good while you were at it. Hats off to you.

@eataninja: Well, the Mario does not slow down anything - it would probably be slower to do the thing the MPC does with its chord-marker. But as I said, I will probably stop him from jumping. milhouse: mov is a widely accepted media container format. You can watch it with Quicktime, or the VLC Media Player, or you can install the Klite Mega Codec Pack to watch it with the Windows Media Player. My recording application gives me the video as mov; otherwise I would spread it as normal avi.

I have an idea for the higher tempos for the mario: When the tempo gets really high, you could have him do that flying thing with his arms out to each side.

Sorry but I absolutely don't like the Mario idea. It just seems out of place.

It looks good. Maybe there should be an option to turn off the Mario?

Instead of using the Mario try using the moving bar like the original Mario Paint Composer. Try to make the bar transparent so you can see the notes underneath it.
And I would also like to know if this will be available for Windows XP or Vista.

Three things: 1. You can see the notes under the bar in the original MPC, the Mario is to be more like the original Mario Paint. 2. He's said multiple times it will be available for Windows as well as Macs. 3. Make that avatar smaller please, it's stretching my screen.

I'm getting excited for this, and it actually looks like I'm gonna need it to complete my next project perfectly... Tempo gaps aren't friendly with odd meters.

I moved this to the Advanced Mario Sequencer board. Hope Tiger won't mind.

I think I mentioned this earlier: I can possibly record the graphical output, but I surely can't record the audio within my application, because the audio output is handled by the fluidsynth tool.

A video-only recorder would be fine. Sound I can do myself.

Recording the video seperately is okay, because it's easy to just record the sound later and sync it up with the video. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT I CAN'T RECORD AUDIO. Well, looks like my hopes of being able to record audio are again crushed. Oh well, looks like the recording pixies are gonna be back in buisness (except now I won't have to send like 10 txt files every time)
