Hi folks, I just wanted to say that I'm still working on this. I hardly have any time to visit the forums to read new comments here, that's why you don't see much of me. I think there will be another beta release - perhaps even a final - at the end of february. I currently have a lot of exams at university and simply don't have much time working on the AMS - and I also have some RL which prevents me sitting in front of my monitor all the time . I have compared Lihyahm's and my fluidsynth binaries, and I found that both the executable and the library files differ within 8 bytes from each other. So it could be that even if I use the library functions directly - that's what I will do - there is still the possibility that you need to compile the library yourself for your system to get it to work. Well, we'll see.

Don't worry about that; I'm pretty sure that with final exams and stuff, everyone is pretty busy these days. And, how would I go about compiling the library? It doesn't seem to produce sound on my computer, even with Lihyahm's fluidsynth...

I was going to compile my own Fluidsynth, but I don't want to deal with huge files and use up my time. So I'll wait to see what you do.

I partly succeeded in using the fluidsynth library directly. I does only work on Windows right know, and I'm still not sure if the library works on any PC - I compared my library version with the one Lihyahm compiled, and the two versions differ in 8 bytes. So there will be another beta version soon to see if it works for everyone (because that's what beta versions are for ).

After downloading a lot of stuff, I have compiled my own fluidsynth. It works
