Alright, Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, but not Mario Paint Composer itself. However, I've never actually tried messing with the files or anything, so I need some help moving some of my songs over to a new computer. So I recently got a new computer, and one of the first things I did was download MPC. After getting distracted for like 30 minutes messing around with some ideas, I decided that I should get back to work on a song that I was making. Unfortunately, it was still on my old computer. I grabbed my flash drive, went into the Prefs file on my old computer, and copied the files onto the drive. Then, I moved it to my new PC, and placed the files in the Prefs folder there. After opening up MPC again, the songs weren't there. Can someone tell me what I did wrong and how to get my songs to show up? Thanks.

You may want to check your MarioPaintSongList.txt file. The format of the songs in that file is
SongName1]MarioPaint*SongName2]MarioPaint*SongName3]MarioPaint*
Chances are that that file either doesn't exist or isn't correctly formatted. And make sure that everything is in the Prefs folder as a sanity check.

Yeah, they're all in there, lol. I can't seem to find that file, I'm going to assume it doesn't exist.

Wait, silly me, I found the MarioPaintSongList file. I must have overlooked it. What do I do with it?

Actually, I fixed it myself! I just added the names of the songs into the MarioPaintSongsList.txt file, and they show up and I can play them now. Thanks for your help!
