Okay, so I had a mess around with SMP v0.921 on Mac a couple of days ago and made this... www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLVfk7bimGUSorry about the screen recording. I wish I had a better screen recorder. The recording was about 1 second off-sync so I TRIED to edit that...

v0.951 Mac version. When I open an arrangement, I click play and nothing happens except the play button pressed down.
EDIT: I found what was wrong. I didn't put all the files in the prefs folder.

You should make it so that the 'mute note' button just mutes the desired note even if the instrument does not sustain.
Now: My instrument is not sustaining. 'note' does the same thing as 'inst'

Just Discovered: The ACTUAL polyphony of SMP is 64. So the maximum notes that can be placed is 64.

Does it mean it can have 64 instruments?

Does it mean it can have 64 instruments? I placed about 100 notes in the same column and realised that only 64 of them played. But it could have 64 instruments, even though the original Mario Paint only came with 15.

We might only need Tri wave baja if you're talking about the tri wave an NES/GB plays. The note range of SMP might increase, and have a bass clef. With the plane instrument, for example, Middle C on the staff will sound like Middle C.

-You should add an "Export Audio" button that can export the song/arrangement to a WAV or MP3 format, with the right soundfont.* -You should add a soundfont switcher so that you can change soundfont without exiting SMP. -"Export MP4" so that you won't need to ask someone to record for you.* -Add a "Custom Soundfont" menu where you can change instrument sounds to different sounds from different soundfonts, or have two of the same sounds. (Just like the one in AMS) You should also be able to adjust the octave and volume.
*This may be quite hard.

Super Mario Paint keeps on freezing whenever I try to scroll after loading a song. My screen looks like this when it froze: As you can see, a gameboy has disappeared from the staff. It was meant to be placed as an E-flat in measure 7.3 There might be too much data in the song file.

Finally got to working on SMP again. I'm working on some save/load bugs, which may have something to do with that behaviour that you've detailed.

I've been working at this rather constantly over the last few weeks (number of lines is a little over 3000 in this program so far) (even though number of lines only gives an approximation of how much has been done) This is what the current interface looks like. Of course, there are many things that are going on in the background that are not apparent in the screenshot...
