I derped around in it for a little bit - and by a little bit I mean a while. One thing I miss most though is an arrange feature. Having to copy the same phrases over and over and making just little changes to existing ones is a bit annoying, which is why I didn't use AMS a whole lot. Hope one day you have time to finish it. Oh, and a bit of what I was derping around with:

Yup, I realize that a lot of the little things still need to be ironed out. One of the major things that I am working on (amongst other things) is the fact that arranger still isn't implemented. I also want to make sure that this thing runs without trouble on Macs, and that starting it up isn't a series of annoying commands - rather, just a double-click or some single operation. Working on a copy/paste functionality too. There are so many little bugs with this program that I'm trying very hard not to introduce more of them when I add more features...

I've tried it on a Windows XP and It's amazing!! What have you planned about what you came up with back a few years ago? I can't wait for an update!

There's just a little bit left before the arranger feature is fully functional. That being said, I'm also running a 'fun' schedule right now, but I will keep at it!

What I was thinking could be an interesting feature in future Mario Paint programs is a pitch-editing kind of function. Some way of raising the pitch of the notes up or down a tiny bit. Some songs (i.e. Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" and Eric Clapton's original Derek and the Dominos version of "Layla". Trust me, these ears don't lie) aren't an EXACT note. They are either a little lower in pitch or higher in pitch. So to get more of the feel, maybe some kind of pitch raiser/lower-er might be nice for future Mario Paint stuff

Actually, if the task list from this link is still accurate, we can also expect some basic options, including one for the tempo? YES YES YES. One more question: what is exactly the tempo changing option? Does it allow the user to change the tempo and have the arrangement adapt to it automatically? If that's the case, then the two factors that kept me from fully transitioning from MPC to SMP, which are the lack of an arranger and the lack of tempo flexibility due to the new text files, would disappear. That's great!

That's great! "Yes to all" (= You can currently click on the tempo box and manually type in tempos (including scientific notation). The behaviour of the tempo changing option in the arranger still needs to be ironed out but the current plan is to have it behave similarly to MPC2.0. As for the other instruments, features, and whatnot, those who keep requesting the same stuff every post, I think it's more important that the main functionality gets implemented before we start playing with extras. There's a certain thing to be said about something that works and has fewer features than something that doesn't work and is supposed to have a huge number of features. I'd rather the first one than the second at the moment.

Which objects are required for the finalization of the code for the software you created before unique symbols matched with wavelength vibrations can be effectively integrated into the astounding program?

Those who get it to work, it would be useful if I knew the following: Operating system version (ex. Mac OSX 10.9.5 or Windows 8.1) Java version (7 or 8 is fine, but things like 7u71 or 8u25 are more descriptive) (This is for v0.921) Also.... Pre-Beta release here! The arranger works! This is implemented for Java 8 for now. I may make it work with Java 7 in the actual Beta release, but currently, running for Java 7 will cause errors. Right now, the arrangement files are computer-specific, so you can't share them yet. I'm working on making that functionality for the Beta release. But those who want to play with this a bit, go right ahead! github.com/DC37/Super-Mario-Paint/releases/tag/v0.94

(Windows 7, Java 8u25)
Arranger acted strangely once. Anyways, was just doing stuff, switching between song and arranger mode, adding/deleting files in the arrangement mode, saving and all. Then for some reason the arranger was displaying song titles wrongly (as in file - 01 displayed as file - 00 in the arranger UI list) and adding ghost duplicates files to the arranger list (that didn't exist; not unlike a similar problem with MPC). It didn't crash the program or anything and played the correct files in the correct order and correct lengths, just the UI displaying the wrong files and adding ghost ones that pointed errors in the command prompt when you tried clicking on them in the UI. Tried restarting, but it's as if it saved the ghost files to the arrangement file. Recreated the arrangement and it was fine then. Tried recreating the issue but couldn't. It's behaving now, though we'll see if it happens again.
EDIT: Just opened it up again to listen to what I had and it happened again. Seems like it's adding to the UI list the changes I made after saving it the first time after exiting and/or restarting the program. Example, files are ordered this way on first edit 1
Week 1 - 00 Week 1 - 01 Week 1 - 02
and after moving/adding parts I save it as 2
Week 1 - 00 Week 1 - 01 Week 1 - 01a Week 1 - 02
However, after exiting the program and restarting it hours later, the arrangement shows up as this in the UI 3
Week 1 - 00 Week 1 - 01 Week 1 - 02 Week 1 - 00 Week 1 - 01 Week 1 - 01a Week 1 - 02
Thing is, it still plays as if it is the 2nd case above (as it should be) but displays the order and names as in the 3rd case, with the last 3 files in the 3rd case being ghost files (which upon clicking on them give OutOfBoundsException errors in the command prompt). Anyways, there's that for you. Wish I could be more specific but the only code I know is Fortran.

This is extremely useful information, and I knew that I wasn't going to catch all of the errors right off of the bat. I'll get right onto fixing that bug. I think I know what to do. Thanks, FC! Also, PSA, everyone: This runs only on Java 8 right now!!
