So, I'm trying to make an album of music, and Mario Paint is the only way i can do so. But, I don't have proper recording tools, so I can't record it myself, however i CAN edit it so that it's just an mp3.
Here's the problem.
I uploaded 11 songs to mario paint recorder recently.
Checked their status today, 3 days later.
All of them were UNAVAILABLE.
no i wasn't using a flash drive.
So, is it broken, or did he just quit?

You can try to use another program to record, like camtasia or hypercam.

for some reason, those don't really work with windows 7...
also my camtasia free trial is up, and from what i've heard, hypercam is kind of fail.

I use CamStudio but that requires a bit of messing around with 'stereo mix;' if you need help just message me / post more on this thread.

Have you ever heard of ZD Soft? I never had any problems with it. It is very reliable.

EDIT: Nope, it still hates my speakers. |:1 If you're using Windows 7, you'll have to go to "Recording Devices" by right-clicking your volume control. Then set "Stereo Mix" to your default device by right-clicking on it. When this is complete, when you record with CamStudio, when you select "Record audio from Speakers," you'll get a "WaveOutGetSelectControl() failed." Ignore that. Record as normal, and play around with the master volume. You should be able to get a satisfactory level of master volume needed to obtain sound from your computer that way. On my computer, that happens to be maximum, but I have speakers connected, so I just turn those way down. That might not be the case for your computer though. Tell me how it goes

Checked their status today, 3 days later. All of them were UNAVAILABLE. no i wasn't using a flash drive. So, is it broken, or did he just quit? I know this is thread necro'ing, so yeah, shoot me like the zombie I am. I just wanted to offer apologies all 'round cause it's been hectic, and while I've wanted for a long while to just set up a dedicated machine that records without my interaction and completely automated, that hasn't happened yet. Unfortunately, I'm a bachelor living on bachelor funds, and we're on *bashes his head against the wall a couple times* pre-paid electricity, so I don't have the luxury of leaving a computer on all the time anymore, cause once we run out of money on the prepaid, it just clicks right off, and if it was in the middle of recording, well, 'nuff said. Hopefully once we get this rectified (regular power bill like the rest of the world,) and I can get a computer dedicated to this project, I hope that it'll take off. In the meantime, I do apologize for late runs of all projects as of recently, and I saw a couple run through that were absolutely amazing, only to find that they had already been posted. So yeah, that was a real wake up call. I'm thinking about opening up the recording side of the project to multiple people so the load can be shared and it's all through one central interface, making it easier for everyone involved. However it would mean for a lot of people a change in software used, and a particular setup involved (hence why I've been the only one recording so far). If I can just get a single automated computer set up, it would make turn-around time on the recordings much much less, say in the range of less than an hour (unless backed up), rather than sometimes, days. Again, sincere apologies, still looking for a way to make this completely feasible, highly reliable, and for cheap.
