I apologize for registering only to post a request, but I'm toying around with an idea for a fan game, and hope to have a short Mario Paint music themed bit, which would have a Mario Paint style version of the song that'd normally play(which happens to be the second version of the Kingdom Hearts 1 Gummi Ship song.) Problem is, I'm not really good with music, so unless someone has tips for reading the midi file to get the notes for Mario Paint Composer, I'll be having trouble with said idea unless someone could help by remaking it for me.

On second thought, some parts don't sound terribly difficult... it'd be cool if others could do like a cooperative thing on this with me.

go for it! the biggest problem i have with making SoM music in mario paint is how prominent the snare hits are; this song is no exception. imo, the percussion simply isn't loud enough to get the feel of the song. It's the reason i gave up on Danger (the boss battle music from SoM)

Distant Thunder is a cool song though, so I hope you can get it to work if you decide to make it

I don't think i'll have a lot of problems getting into it, and i could probably make the drums work (somehow), it's just when it gets to be about a minute in, melody gets VERY intricate and crazy, and i would have serious problems finishing, and would have no motivation to try and futs with it.

But dude, if you think you can help me out when it gets to the hard part, you wanna do a collab type thing with me?

Good luck with that one. I know that the time signature is 29/16, with some weird-ass tuplet at the end of the measures. Normal "Strong One" is a much more feasible option.



I would like to see someone do it, though.
