This is LoloGuru@youtube, letting you all know I'm still alive. I've got some good news and some bad news... The bad news is that my old laptop's gone kaput (this happened last spring), and with it, the vast majority of the song files I already made, so the youtube videos are the only copies I have, and none of my mpc files. =( The good news is that I'm back with a new laptop. If I wasn't having recording issues, I could have something to upload this very second. (this being a quick-but-good NES theme) Furthermore, I've got a bigger project in the works; one that I feel will be at least on par with my previous bests... let's say it's 40% done? Curious about this bigger project? It's from a SNES game that I haven't done a song from before, and it's not been done before as far as I can tell. And that's all I'll say for now.

Oh snap! Welcome back Lolo. : D
If you can't get your recording working, Ironcladphazon and Electricpoptart18 are both pretty reliable recorders.

I indeed hope that the urge to create stays with me this time; it's fun to do, and beyond that, I sorta feel happy while I do it; and that's a mark of a good hobby, eh? =D
Anyway: Progress on the mystery piece crawls past the 50% mark as I mash up a rough implementation of part 5. Still not fully satisfied with the earlier parts, but then again, I can look back on them later, and I've got to find a way to "fake" some of the game's more unique sounds, but I'm sure it'll be recognizable to anyone who's ever played the game, by the time it's finished. (and parts of it are damn catchy already, so I feel successful already.) =P
As far as other recorders go, thanks for the suggestions... I kinda think my little NES theme doesn't deserve a video all its own, so maybe once I eek out a few more themes from the game I'll see about getting it all recorded. Hm... a quick youtube check shows it'd be the first mario paint uploaded from that little gem of a game. But then, most of the music in the game repeats fairly quickly (<30sec), so they're quick little pieces to recreate. As I said, it was more a "get back into the groove of things" piece, and it worked well for that.
