So, uh, do you guys know any good music programs out there other than Mario Paint?
Also are they compatible on Mac?

Logic is Mac-only, I believe, and I've used it before — it takes a lot of getting used to.
A slightly easier option might be Fruity Loops — it's pattern-based, and you can even load your MPC soundfonts on it.
I know SuperiorLarxene uses Noteworthy Composer and Gallahaut uses Sibelius — I haven't tried these, and I'm not sure how good they are. Sibelius is Mac-only.

If your looking to make musical scores get sibelius or finale notepad, if you want to make electronic based songs use Fl studio, Cubase or Logic Pro (I prefer Fl studio out of those though) I think most of them should be compaitible with mac.

Oh hey! This topic!
Uh yeah, I got Finale PrintMusic for Christmas, but I haven't really composed anything decent on it. I'm still trying to get used to it (Not that it's difficult to use or anything, I'm just really used to the simplicity of Mario Paint).
Also college blah blah blah

Well on my college course (which is music production) we're using logic pro and some of the music made on it is REALLY good. I'd highly recommend that, Reason or Pro Tools personally.
