Wow, this is great. o: Not quite sure what it could be used for specifically, but it's really good nonetheless. Okay. I'll admit that the soundboard ship is pretty useless and might not make it in 1.2, but the frogs in v1.0 could be used to recreate the theme from Bubblegloop Swamp from Banjo-Kazooie, and the other instruments can be used for most Zelda games* and more! That, or you could make your own music, if you're creative enough. That's what I'd use it for. What will you do? *In my YouTube demonstration, I recreated 2 themes from Zelda: Twilight Princess, though not completely accurate as it was only a demonstration. Check it out sometime! |

It was the longest sustained non-vibrato flute sound I could find. |

Bah. Good question. xD I really like the male choir you included in it, I think I'll definitely put that to use in something. I'll most likely use the ocarina as well. For what, however, I have very little ideas. Haven't sat down and brainstormed yet. The soundboard ship is most certainly not useless, I think it could be put to good use. Unless you find something better that could take its place of course. |

Maybe I'll put in a new soundboard to replace the old one, and you can use AMS to put the old one with the new one in a custom soundfont. It'll have battle sound effects (Link/YoungLink getting hurt, Ganondorf flying around and shooting an energy ball, sword swings, low heart meter, assorted boss sounds, and enemy lock-on. Of course, if I do that, I should replace more instruments and let you make custom soundfonts the way you want them (deku pipes, goron drums, and zora guitars are still going in the next one as I fixed the volume unless I make an updated v1.1). |

yeah this soundfont works well for that song.
Thanks a ton for the flutes in your soundfont by the way. They'll be super useful.

Alright. I know it's almost been a month since my last post and I'm sorry. I've been buried in school work, and things are going really crappy. This might be my last semester in college.
Why this is bad news:
1. Obviously, failing any class is bad.
2. I don't get to keep my parents' health insurance
Why this is good news:
1. Less stress.
2. More time to work on personal projects, like my soundfont, my Mario level hack, and most importantly, learning how to drive (I'm 21 and don't even have a permit. Ain't that a sad story?)
Anyways, I got two months before the semester ends and I can resume making my soundfont. As always, thank you for your support. I look forward to completing Ocarina of Paint v1.2.

All right. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've got some bad news:
Project: Ocarina of Paint is going to be suspended. My computer's got a virus, which I've already spread to my teacher by emailing him an assignment (extension .docx) I can't be sure if I can safely post a new release until my computer is completely cured, but Norton ain't doin' sh**, so this may take a while. If you think I should go ahead and post it anyways, let me know. I haven't worked on the soundfont since my last post, but the semester will be over next week. I'll work on OoP, despite the virus, I just can't post it when it's done. Not unless you're willing to take a big gamble. I'm going to look over this forum and look at what you guys suggested I improve upon.
Sorry if I disappointed any of you. I'm going to look for an antivirus that will acually work.

Get Microsoft Security Essentials (or, on a Mac, avast). It'll do the job.

If for some reason you hate Microsoft Security Essentials I also recommend Eset NOD32 Antivirus, although it's definitely not free. It kicks arse. I agree that MSE is quite nice though. |

alright. im done slacking off. ive been putting this off for too long. im going to work on this sf until its done. that way it's done and i don't have to worry about it anymore. but as far as making any more soundfonts go, I'm done. i cant do it anymore. i'm pretty much done with mario paint in general, including the program itself. (at least until OCS comes out, then i MIGHT get back into it). I'll be honest: i think i fixed the virus on my computer, but i havent made any effort to finish the project whatsoever during the time i've spent getting rid of it, mostly because i lost interest in sf editing (and for a good reason: making loops is a time consuming task, i dont have the attention span to do this very often) i'm only doing this because i made a commitment to the people who supported me, and i intend to uphold that commitment.
which brings me to the next subject: progress. considering I'm just taking stuff out and putting new stuff in, as well as fixing problems with pre-existing stuff, this shouldn't take long (which begs the question: why the *@$# didn't i just finish this earlier and why am i posting this long comment when i should be working on it now? the answer is simple: im a slacker. so sue me! but really dont we all slack off a little bit? :D). But i will definitely try to get this done before V-day, maybe even a week before, or sooner. i dont know how long it'll take. but thank all of you for your patience. I'll work on OoP right now.
