Hello, I am FC (short for FieryChaos).
I am relatively new to MPC, though I did mess around with it about a year ago with the intro theme of Mega Man 2; I may go back one day and edit it, though probably not.
Most of my compositions are done with the help of piano sheet music or midi (the MM5 Final Boss theme was actually the first one I referenced with a midi), though I did do part of Protoman's theme by ear, and accidently wrote over it while editting the txt files (fixing a broken arrangement...), so now it has my first try of the MM2 Dr. Wily Stages theme. Percussion and other random things I usually figure out myself (the midi I used for the MM5 Final Boss Theme percussion was just constant on the beat bASS drum, and it also had too many notes in the bASS line). If I knew how to soundfont edit and give different instruments more range I would (in my Sonic 2 Ending Sequence, the Shy Guys are mostly an octave higher than they should be).
I try and will continue to try using the original soundfont, and will only use other soundfonts if I must to make things sound clearer/better.
Anyways, as for me, I'm half Filipino, love music, and if I were to ever meet you in person I would be one of the shyest people you know (the internet is a different story, since I don't actually have to see you, EXCEPT, I won't do the webcam thing and almost never talk on Vent/Teamspeak [Guild Wars] unless absolutely necessary).
I played trombone in junior high/high school (and found that the overzealous marching band nerds were really annoying; I didn't like most of them, except the Trombone section, we were the best), and the extent of my technical/historical music knowledge is from IB Music Theory, which really isn't that much. Although I hated most of my peer high school band nerds, I still miss the marching and playing; I haven't touched my trombone in a year or more, but I do find myself picking up my recorder (from, I think, 3rd or 4th grade?) and playing various things, or going on the keyboard playing things that I remember from marching band and things I found out on my own (I am by no means a piano player). Recently received a drum set which I bang on now and then, and a guitar that I don't play at all; I like the drums more.
Other various things; current studying Nuclear Engineering in college; I like video games (currently have played Guild Wars for at least 3 and a half years; don't own a 360 myself, but have played through all the Halo/Gears of War/Borderlands games on my friend/soon-to-be-roommate's 360). I've also played Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablos 1 and 2, Sins of a Solar Empire, and various other RTS games (friends and I still have LAN parties now and then with Frozen Throne/Sins), and have tried and played way too many of the generic "free" MMORPG's (Guild Wars still remains the favorite, and can't wait to see what Guild Wars 2 is like; and yes, I am not a fan of WoW). At our LAN parties, we usually play Frozen Throne/Sins, sometimes play board games such as Risk/Settlers of Catan/Heroscape, and usually end up playing Halo/Gears/LOTR:Conquest (LOTR:Conquest would be amazing if you could system link it and play with more than 4 people...).
Anyways, I don't know why all my introductions have me rambling on and on about things, but there it is.
