Glitch?

Not exactly sure how I did it, I was playing around with a 2008 tempo and then, I put two in an arrangement, and everytime I pressed play, it didn't work. I got the Error, continue? message that happens, and then I checked up on it, the song was deleted, but what really got my attention was the tempo. Can be achieved by simply having no number in the text file for tempo, but I had never touched my tempo, and I sat at my computer when it works and hadn't moved when this happened. A bit weird, but yeah. Nothing real major.

Very strange. Maybe you should post something like that to YouTube.

LOL! Nice glitch. I remember I got the "Error: continue?" message when I put more than 96 measures' worth of material into a txt file, and the numbers noting the measures at the top disappeared, but the notes after that appeared. Attempts to play that segment result in countless errors, though :/

Interesting...maybe we'll discover some secrets of MPC by playing with text files, like Easter eggs.

Did you name your arrangement the same as your song? That can totally screw up your text file.

I think I did, not 100% sure since I'm not at that computer at the moment.

Did you name your arrangement the same as your song? That can totally screw up your text file. I absolutely hate it when I do that by accident. It usually wipes the original file.

When I do that, I normally realise that I've done it straight away because I frequently play the whole arrangement through just to listen to the song. But that hardly detracts from the feeling of utter... hmmm... GGRRRRRRRRRRness that I feel.

Anyway, on that note and back on topic, did anyone know that this arranger save over business also works in reverse? Yeah, if you save a single song by the same name of an arrangement, and then load the arrangement, the txt file for the song appears in the song list box. But you probably all already know that.

This is the only thing I wish Mario Paint Composer would have since it was first released:

What I hate is when I am listening to an arrangement (in arranger mode of course) and stop the song when I find something that needs to fixed. However, when I go to save it, the name of the first file of the arrangement is still in title line. Therefore, I wind up saving over the first file making me go back a redo it. This is the only thing I wish Mario Paint Composer would have since it was first released: Something like that would've saved me countless hours of work on my songs. That's what I should have gotten for Christmas

That's what happened to poor Doctor Wright... So now I can't get any more advice on land value and crime rate until I fix the song...

Let's pray to Ford Prefect for him to put this feature in his Advanced Mario Sequencer!
