A companion to the "Top 10 Favorite Games" thread, list the games you can not wait to be released, or even ones that have been released and you really want to play.
1.) Gears of War 2. Pretty self-explanatory... the first one offered some of the best gameplay mechanics I've seen to date (the cover mechanic enabling you to pull off movie-like maneuvers as you destroy the Locust). I can not wait to see what Epic Games can bring us in their next rendition of the franchise.
2.) Star Wars Battlefront 3. Okay, so it doesn't really exist, but that doesn't stop me wanting to play it. I seriously have this big 'Perfect BF3' envisioned in my mind - Galactic Conquest being the focus. Customize your fleets to include more ships for more power or less to jump from one corner of the galaxy to another. While online is the limiting factor here, I hope the Singleplayer experience is ramped up to have hundreds of allied and enemy CPs at the same time. If there is a third, it'll prolly be the first two with some more planets and vehicles, and maybe unit customization. Sigh.
3.) SSBB. I feel quite bad that I haven't yet had a shot at this game yet.
4.) Pokemon DPP series. Same as above. I played Diamond on an emulator, but it runs like molasses - and, of course, it isn't legal. Of course, getting a DS might help, too...
5.) Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. Both sequels to two of my favorite franchises of all time. I hope Battlenet is still free, but in our world, I don't think it will be.
6.) Halo Wars. Should be an interesting take on the franchise, eh?
But my number one game to play:
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. I still play RA2 to this day with any number of total mods. It is one of the best RTS games EVAR. I probably wouldn't sing its praises quite as much if my puny Intel GMA supported Command and Conquer Generals, but w/e. RA still pwns.
