It feels like it's been so long since this was uploaded, but it's only been about 1.5 months... Namisphinx apparently discovered a way of controlling MPC's tempo: by right-clicking on the taskbar icon of MPC, one can control the tempo by highlighting the options. The video probably explains it better than I do.

Due to the new taskbar, windows 7 users like me can't use it I don't think. D: And also Mac users can't either but who uses a Mac anyway:P
This looks really cool though

Hey, kace, you can still use freetempo in windows 7, just right click on the window, like the top (larger) border, and just use that.

I actually found a use for this outside of manipulating the speed of low tempo MPCs, since when you hold the down key while you right click (or click the logo in the top left, which also opens up the... thing), it's slightly slower... works as a rough ritardando if there's just a slight slow down in the song.
Not as cool as namisphinx's use but another use nonetheless.

And also Mac users can't either but who uses a Mac anyway:P I do. Anyways, on Win7 you can either right-click on the window's top border or left-click on the MPC icon on the top border, and a less accurate but faster way is to use the mouse. And it's also likely on a Mac, if you right-click on the MPC icon on the Dock, but if the ol' Mac didn't only have 400MB of free space that I didn't want to waste, I'd have tried it.
