I'm just curious what your thoughts are here. My choices:
Best: -All I Want For Christmas (Is You): I've just always thought this was a beautifully sung song. Definitely the best modern Christmas carol. -Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Seriously, who DOESN'T like this song? -Winter Wonderland: Picturesque, catchy, and not ear raping. It has also been covered well many times. -Believe: From the Polar Express. Another beautiful song - definitely the highlight of a lackluster movie
Worst -Christmas Wrapping: Has probably the most grating vocals in any Christmas song, EVER. -Wonderful Christmastime: You know, I like Paul and all, and his solo stuff with Wings was great. But god damn, this is the shittiest song he ever wrote. -Merry XMas (War is Over): This is also the worst thing John lennon ever wrote. Even Give Peace a Chance is better than this. -Dominic the Donkey: *dies*

Dominic the Donkey is definitely the worst Christmas song I've ever heard. EVAR.
I'd say this is my favorite Christmas song (if this isn't just traditional Christmas songs):

Man, how could I forget about that one? That song is truly amazing. Definitely the best thing TSE has ever done.

-Merry XMas (War is Over): This is also the worst thing John lennon ever wrote. Even Give Peace a Chance is better than this. Sadly, I'll have to disagree with you on that one. I'm getting sick of the near majority of christmas songs I have to put up with, whether it's in the grocery store, department store, banks, etc., I'm sick of how overplayed it is. And none of them are any good to begin with. Only the Lennon one, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra are what rocks my holiday socks during the season.

I really hate that "SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME" song. I don't even know what it's called, but I hate it soooooo much...

I don't like Christmas songs in general but.
Only Christmas song I truly like. Reminds of something that Queen would have come up with for a Christmas song.

I'm just curious what your thoughts are here. My choices: Best: -All I Want For Christmas (Is You): I've just always thought this was a beautifully sung song. Definitely the best modern Christmas carol. If you're referring to the Mariah Carey version, I have to agree. Worst -Merry XMas (War is Over): This is also the worst thing John lennon ever wrote. Even Give Peace a Chance is better than this. Nooooooo Are you kidding? It's one of his better songs. Of course, it was written during a time it was more socially/historically relevant, so maybe it's not something that reaches today's younger crowd. Carol Of The Bells is one of my favorites. I definitely like the traditional four-part chorus, or a four-part arrangement with handbells, but for some reason the "modern" remixes of the song just don't do it for me. I really hate that "SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME" song. I don't even know what it's called, but I hate it soooooo much... eataninja listed this one in his worst songs. It's "Wonderful Christmastime" by Paul McCartney. Aside from my replies, some of my favorites are And Charlotte Church's versions of When a Child is Bornand O Holy Night(Seriously, if neither of those those songs stirs any emotion in you then YOU HAVE NO SOUL or something. ) But nothing can beat Twisted Sister's version of " O Come All Ye Faithful." (FF >> 1:30 or so) It is said that, if you listen carefully, you can actually hear bits of "We're Not Gonna Take it." I can usually listen to most Christmas songs, but the absolute worst, the one I refuse to listen to is any version of "Santa baby." It churns vomit and blows chunks. I used to hate "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" but Charlotte Church made me not hate it so much.
