I don't know if this is the right place, buuut.... How can I change the volume of the notes? Like on some MPC songs on YouTube, there are some places where the note get quieter, like: Normal quieter quieter (and so on) _____ ______ ______ _________ (those were notes) How do I do that? Thanks in advanced!

When you place a note, a green vertical bar appears under it in the white margin. Clicking and dragging the height of that vertical bar up or down will adjust the volume for all notes above that specific vertical bar.

Those bars can be used for various effects, such as crescendo, decrescendo, and echos. At high speeds, the bars can also be used to control volumes of single notes in a chord by splitting up the chord into multiple lines. Also, the lowest setting on the green bar is a silent note.

Well... Its not quite silent... (unless you're talking bout AMS, in which case, you're probably right, but I dunno )

the best way to mute a note is the Low A glitch
you can still hear the lowest volume if you turn the volume up loud enough

you can still hear the lowest volume if you turn the volume up loud enough You can actually put the Volume so much down, that the Green Bar is not visible anymore. The Note is not hearable then anymore.

This happened to me when I was editting a text file w-w-what??? yeah in the text file, the amount of pluses and the letter after them which follow each note grouping control volume for that line. I guess I must have deleted those by mistake. Don't worry, if you click where the bar would normally be in MPC, it shows up.

volume control can also make boats sound like a cymbal crash... put the speed up to about 1500+ and lay down boats allll along the highest note (or really any note above low A for that matter) and lower the green bar one knotch on every other note and you'll get like a fading cymbal crash. i use this technique on almost every one of my songs

:nh++++++q: (Car note C) The q is the volume, which goes from q to a (a being the quietest.) If you take away the q, it'll go silent, because there's no volume code there.

We need to make a dictionary of sorts for text files. It's pretty interesting to see how MPC uses them. A lot of people probably already know a lot about text files but having it all on paper in one spot is nice.
