What video games would you say have an under-rated soundtrack?
Personally, I'd say Rayman 2 or TMNT Turtles in time. I mean, LISTEN TO THE AWESOME!

Also I'd like to add three great tracks from a game that I have many memories playing.... these are underrated in my opinion. I'm gonna eventually recreate all of these on Mario Paint when I get the chance. EDIT- I couldn't resist... I had to include this awesome remix too.  |

jokinjoeU.N. Squadron sounds A LOT like MMX. It has reason to be, too, UN Squadron was also by Capcom. Which explains why I like MMX songs too. ^_^ In fact, I'm surprised no one has even bothered to make UN Squadron stuff in Mario Paint. I did Frontline Base so far, but that's it. |

I suggest checking out the Metroid Fusion soundtrack. It may mostly contain songs that are quite short and repetitive and that rarely go past 30 seconds in length, but what makes it great to me is its incredible ability to invoke emotion, particularly tension, uneasiness, and fear. No matter at point you are in the game, the music is bound to make you feel uncomfortable, wary, and/or scared and make you move Samus around with a constant caution. The music really helps make the game. Here are some examples:
