It's not cool to watch the anime/read the manga, they do absolutely nothing, there's no plot, it's a show about nothing! Granted, Seinfeld was labelled as such, but at least that show was funny! Neither is it cool to look up relevant videos on youtube, and decorate whatever profile you have on any given site with pictures of it, and spam it with 'KAWAII DESU!!!!!!!!!" That's not cool, that's just pathetic! It doesn't make you cool or likeable, you just look like a weeaboo who for some reason, thinks that watching such a show as Lucky Star will make you Japanese one day, and for some reason calling it "Kawaii Desu" makes you Japanese!

I really can't stand pointless shows, like Lucky Star for example, at all. And I don't even consider anything related to it, or in fact almost any anime girl/person/chibi/whatever Kawaii. Being Japanese, I want to refrain as much as possible from using any form of a Japanese catch phrase or whatever because it does tend to get very annoying, and I do find it offensive with all the people coming up to me asking if I can speak Japanese spamming me with all the overused expressions such as Kawaii, and all that stuff thinking they know the language when they do not. Which is why I think that one should only say these things if they have even a basic grasp of the language, not just know a couple of words and phrases here and there. If you (WaluiJ) were being sarcastic here... then I still stand by what I said. And to everybody, sorry if I've offended you in any way of me expressing my opinion this. |

It's just not your kind of show, WeeJ. No need to go emphasizing the stupidity of the number of people who like the show and are quite frankly idiotic while completely ignoring the fact that there are just as many people who like the show and don't scream out "KAWAII DESU :3 :3" as if they're wanting to be just like the characters in the show.
You can make pretty much any show look stupid that way.

I like Lucky Star because the characters are super kawaii~ and Konata-san is just like me! >ω<
She's my future wife! We both love anime and video games SO SO much!!!!
*sigh* I wish I lived in Japan... maybe I will someday!! :3

I like the subtle humor that pops up here and there, but otherwise, it's not super fantastic, in my opinion. It has its moments; just a few, unfortunately, but I could understand why some people would totally love it. It's actually more of a convenient way of learning about Japanese culture than it is an entertaining show, seeing as how the show is all about conversations that only Japanese people would ever have. |

A friend of mine watches Lucky Star/Azumanga Daioh, not because he's a weeaboo, but because he likes watching the characters act like total morons half the time. He's especially fascinated by the Osaka effect:
"You're from Osaka? 'K, we're gonna call you Osaka."
