all i have to say is before u apply, id probly check wether any of your songs on mpc are versions of songs owned by mwg. coz they are seriously tight about ppl using their songs... but i find the idea of mpc vids being removed stupid! because its just sumbodies enterpretation of the song, using a 16-bit style program, and generally 16-bit noises!!
i think geoffnets was a 1 off. the company probly didnt even watch the vid b4 filling in the copyright form...

Edit: ive been confuzed for a lil while at why levus, cat, adolfo, tiger, tombobblender (etc etc etc) have never applied!! if my vids were tht popular, i would of applied ages ago!! i
saw what levus put bout him getting 4000 overall vid views a day... thats insane!! my over vid views is bout 8,500... what levus gets in 2days!! and ive had my account 4.. um.. some time...
I get about 10 views a day!

I remember when YouTube was sending out these e-mails. I received one for almost every one of my videos, and ignored every single one.

Just so you know, those e-mails are automated. No one was 'hand selected', no matter how personal the email may have sounded.

Also, a cover song is NOT considered fair use. You will have a very hard time disputing it as fair use in court. An exception to this would be a musical parody (lyric swap), where you would not be required to seek approval ahead of time from the original content owner.
