Yeah, sorry this was left out to dry for a while, but I figure it's time we get this ball rolling again.
So yeah, composers who have released original material. And there are quite a lot of them. So what I will need you, loyal composers alike to do, is compile for me a list of original composers who have released more than 3 original compositions. Once the list is made, I can then make a poll and we can vote for who the best original composer is.
Voting will be based on the following criteria:
- accuracy of notes (whether they sound right or not)
- use of pitch, volume, etc.
- Dynamic usage
- originality of the piece (does it sound like something you've heard somewhere else, or does it have its own unique feel?)
That should be good enough to sort out the good from the bad.

I have an idea, how about adding the songs that placed first, second and third on all the 6 mario paint original composition contests and let people vote on those songs? (the voting round for the 6th contest I´m hosting ends tomorrow, and I will upload the video to announce the winners next week).

No worries. Now, I have rounds 2 through 6, but I can't find the top three for the first round, can anyone find them for me? I know BrianLED won it, but the 2nd and 3rd place winners remain a mystery, and I don't know what his composition was called that won the contest, it's no longer up on Youtube. |
