I mentioned this game in Chatzy once, but it got quickly brushed aside "because it's Sonic". I'll try to talk more about it here, though:
SRB2 is a 3D Sonic game that uses the Doom Legacy engine (sprites in 3D environments). It is a fan-made project and is completely free to download. It's been in development for almost 11 years now, and they are constantly adding more to it.
The single-player game is pretty big, with plenty of challenges and unlockables. Multiplayer consists of several different modes: Co-op, Match, Team Match, Race, Classic Race, Tag, Hide-and-Seek, and Capture the Flag. A maximum of 32 people can play together.
I think this game would be a lot of fun with a big group of friends, so I thought I'd share it in here.
