"Woodwind Symphony" This features many new instruments that are useful in songs without a brass section, or... whatever. Intruments featured: Clarinet Clarinet Trill Tenor Sax Alto Sax Flute (too quiet still) Alto-Baroque Flute (May be replaced) Bass Guitar (May be replaced by the heart) Grande Piano (Bass Clef) Piano (Treble Clef) Creeepy Flute (May also get replaced by something) Timpani Crash Cymbal Snare Drum Bass Drum (May need to be louder) Download www.mediafire.com/download.php?7gmlzwka8vdUPDATE: Bass Gutar has been replace by a fretless bass

hmm...some of these I have to question the inclusion of.. For example, the Mushroom sound..someone could up the tempo and place the notes to get the same effect, and the sound is so unique I would only see it being used in chance situations. If the effect was a vibrato or notes played inbetween standard tunings (such as 25,50,75 cents sharp or flat) it would be a different story. Also, the Face sounds like the Gameboy and the Dog played simultaneously, and they don't finish at the same time, so it sounds odd.
Hmm..maybe you can include the Car and Heart sounds and make it for the mushroom (since its been established for drums and the like already)

the mushroom may be replaced.. I was thinking about it... the only time I could see it being used is in EvilGrimace's Banjo Kazooie - The Final Battle at 2:32, but that's it. The face, yeah it actually is the Gameboy and Dog Combined, it sounded a little creepy, so it is there. But it's just a filler. I may use a trumpet there or at the flower, since it is established as that.
I don't quite know how to make the car and heart compine without mixing bass drum and snare, which would not sound like you want. I could make the dog the snare, and the car a real pipe organ. and make the mushroom what the hart is currently. or better yet, make the Mushroom what it was in the default soundset (or from your improved one). But where would I put the Timpani?
EDIT: I increased the volume of the Flute! Har har!

oh, and the instruments are in a different key (which makes transposing take longer), so does anyone know how many semitones are in a half-step?

Finally, the piano, my favorite instrument for sound! (for some reason) Even though MPC 2.0 has one as the coin, it's too weak to stand up to the main instruments up to the heart.

I don't think so... But maybe you could include Violin, Viola, and Bass sounds... (not pluck sounds, actual strings)

got a violin... *writes viola down* *jots down music box* Thanks for all the suggestions [ not that I dont want more ] I'm still trying to get the notes in key so transposing is easier... I hope. Some of my ideas: Marimba Bells (like the mini-xylophone bells) Pan Flute Distortion Guitar

I think the trumpet is missing from the list...
EDIT: I just thought of this: The Cello might be a better instrument to put in than the viola.

what kind of choir? I have a "heaven" ooooo, a choir aaaahh, a gospel aaahh, and a "dream" ooohhhh... sort of thing. you have to hear it, I kand emulate the sounds in words.
And for percussion I think I can fit in a whole drum set... but is there any percussion in particular you want?
and er, would the shy guys get the string section or the choir?

Update: It's coming along great, i should have another release in a couple of days. Of course, I haven't tested it in mario paint. I'm anticipating that the sound samples will loop endlessly, unfortuantely. there are lots and lots of percs in the boat (every note has a different percussion).
Added So Far: Xylophone (Mario) Bass Drum (Mushroom) - Too quiet Pan Flute (Yoshi) - too loud Trumpet (Flower) Flute (Gameboy) Alto Sax (Dog) Tenor Sax (Cat) Choir Aahs (Baby Face) Drum Kit (Boat) - Too quiet Finger Bass (Heart) - Too quiet, does not work on lower B, C, & D Distortion Guitar (Piranha Plant) Church (Tubular) Bells (Coin) - Way Too loud (and creepy sounding) String Ensemble (Shy Guy) - Ruined by one thing: Volume delay

I don't know what to make the pig or the swan. Any ideas? And should the car stay a pipe organ?

what kind of [acoustic] guitar for the plane? Nylon string? Steel string?
Also, does anyone know how to increase the volume of ALL the audio samples in a present without individually editing them all?
