I'm trying to make a song, and I need bells for it. So, I got the SF for bells, and I copy/pasted it into symphony, but It needs to be much higher. The lowest C needs to be C7, but how do I figure out the required root key number?
And if it's multisampled, does that affect it?

The root key number: I remember if you put the root key as 60, it's middle C. So if you make the root key higher, (or lower, I kinda forgot) it makes the entire sounds that are played higher. By however many octaves you went up/down. You are using Viena, right?

Just adding to what RehdBlob said... From 60, increase by 12 to lower by one octave; decrease by 12 to raise it by one octave.

yes, but uh... is "middle C" C5 or C3?
I can't remember.
I already knew about the octave thing.

If I make a screw up in changing octaves (poor math ), I can usually figure it out by ear easily.
