If you have an abundance of GBA games that you like to play, then keep the DS. If not, go DS-i.
I personally play GBA games more than DS games most of the time.

I bought my GBASP for $6... 5 years ago. You won't have too much trouble replacing that GBA slot, trust me. As for "other stuff", I don't know what you mean, besides maybe bulkier size I'm seriously considering getting the DS-i because my DS is starting to break (crashes, unresponsive buttons, a battery life of like 4 hours). Too bad I actually haven't been using it that much recently. Maybe that's attributed to the fact that I haven't been buying new games or because it was usually my entertianment when I was a bit younger in long car rides, but I'm starting to drive now and I'm much more entertained by my PC games when I'm home. I'll just wait I guess until it becomes a need. As for you, go for it I say.

GET THE DSI! IT RAWKS!
If you want the GBA slot, then just save up an extra $70 bucks!
The DSI is worth a lot more than it's sold for!
