WEBSITES Follow the Bouncing Mario Head to www.youtube.com/tombobblender and check out this dude's wizardry with Mario Paint's music sequencer. He's arranged a ton of different video game themes, including Street Fighter II and Super Mario RPG tunes. After dinking around with the music-creation tool ourselves, we can testify that what you're hearing is seriously impressive. The unconventiounal use of sounds such as a dog's bark is particularly creative. Bravo! - Chris S. [Insert Picture of Mario Paint's interface, displaying a video player playing TBB's video of MM2 Wily Stage 1. A caption to the picture reads:] TomBob is a music teacher, so he knows a good Mega Man track when he hears one. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Taken directly from volume 218, page 93 of the August 2007 issue (which, if you know NP, means it came out in July and was written in June). First line is title, second the subtitle. Chris S.' full name is Christopher Shepperd. The whole thing takes up 1/6 of a page, and is sandwiched between an article about a delicious-looking Super Mario Bros. Cake and some people showing off creations in Animal Crossing: Wild World. This is for those of you wondering what the article was like. An important piece of Mario Paint history, I feel. All these revealations make me think we should write some sort of documentary on the history of Mario Paint. Thoughts?

Interesting that he was on Nintendo Power.
I don't know how to word this, but it's funny how oyan is better than him with SNESMP.
That's it. I'm making a song with SNESMP.

I've tried a couple of times but never got around to finishing anything
I also HATE the percussion in SNESMP and how annoying the three channel limit is.

Thanks for digging this up! I've been curious about this article.
I've made a few SNESMP compositions (Chocolate Rain, LttP Dark World, and Pheonix Wright- Allegro) but I made them on my original Mario Paint copy and had no way of recording. I must say, while the three note rule is annoying, the lack of overlapping note support is the worst limitation. -_-

The only way I could make an actual SNESMP song is on my actual SNES. :/ I wouldn't have anything to record with.

If someone were to ask me "What was one of your biggest accomplishments in life", I would say "being featured in Nintendo Power, of course!" Just so everyone knows, they did not attempt to contact me before they decided to feature me. I did, however, attend the Nintendo Power 20th Anniversary party at Nintendo World in New York City in 2008, where I met the staff at Nintendo Power, including Chris who wrote the article about me. He said a few of his co-workers discovered my channel on YouTube one day at the office and they found "Guile's Theme" and "Mega Man 2 Wily Stage 1" and couldn't stop laughing. He, and the entire staff, signed my page, too. It was a very exciting moment!
