It's not as powerful as the computer version, it's missing a few things, and file types are different, but now you can create songs anywhere that you can bring your DS! Information here: forum.palib.info/index.php?topic=5875Download here: www.nds-zone.com/bassacegold/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/mpcgoomba.zipThrough my tests so far, it's somewhat buggy and can only have four notes at once. Maximum is the old G, minimum is "A", but it's not actually A. Most of the sounds are a little strange, too. Still a decent homebrew application, though.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Unfortunately, I don't have a DS...

Awesome! I just put this on my R4. I have to say, it's not THAT impressive. The stars sound horrible when up high. The swans sound too short. The boats can't do the woodblock noise. The mushrooms sound kinda horrid. Overall it's a bit of meh. I would quit your dayjob to get an R4 just for this.

You need a flash card such as an R4.

Would an emulator be good enough?

An R4 is a flash memory card that can do many different things. I have virtually no knowledge about it though unfortunately. I know you are able to have homebrew applications on there, as well as patched games (translated). That's all I know.
I also don't know where to get one, because if I did, I'd probably have one... probably eBay.

It's really useful, you can use it for Emulators (not very good ones mind you, only the NES and GameBoy emulators really work), Homebrew applications, Music, videos and unfortunatly, even pirated games. I use mine for all of the above.

Yeah, I got an m3 ds real and completel filled it up with anything that's good on the homebrew scene (there's loads, atari 2600, master system, genesis, game gear,NEO GEO (srsly), snes, and nes and gb that's already been mentioned.)
I actually deleted this mainly due to the notes not being cut off, but I remember talking to the developer in an IRC chat and he said there weren't enough sound channels to have the notes cut off (something like that). But yeah, I should redownload it, it'd be handy for OCs.
