I realize I made quite a few mistakes with this week's SoTW. So, this is how I'm gonna deal with em:
GuruXander and AngryTiger: I shafted you guys a LOT with my song choice (especially you, Guru). You guys get to decide whether or not you want Phantom Ganon or LoAtR next week. If you release something even more awesome I'll overlook the mistake.
Pokesonic, Banjario, Winterbourne: I'm sorry about your lack of song on the list. I was VERY preoccupied while making this up and they slipped my mind. Next week, I'll include Weldar for Banario, some MM3 piece for WB2K, and either Storm Eagle or a new piece for Poke.
Sorry about the confusion.

It must be a hefty chore to run SotW. I think you're deserving of a big thank-you from me for taking on such a job!

Agreed with JohnFreeman. I think people take the Song of the Week for granted, considering that was one of our initial contest ideas (LoloGuru's actually, and we all know how far that got him).
Perhaps if you want a song in Song of the Week, it would be better to private message eataninja with the song that you request? That way it would be easy to keep track of the nominations. As for the people who aren't active in these forums (don't PM)...; well, those would be the ones who you would just automatically take the song, and it's not like they're around to care if they're omitted. Just a thought; whether or not you like this idea is fine by me.

I was unaware of his idea when I did this. What do you mean by "how far that got him?" I'm keeping track of songs now, so there's no need for that. I might start PMing composers if there's more than one song to choose from, though. @ Johnfreeman: You're welcome

Back when Mario Paint was just a Youtube group, Lolo had a thread for a song-of-the-week style contest idea. Though people liked it, he never saw that through, and now he's not even composing at all. In contrast, you came up with the same idea on your own, and you've been doing it for 11 weeks already! ^_^

I've got an idea. You (or someone else) should make a topic called "Song of The Week *next week's number* submission topic". In here under-rated composers that don't get noticed could submit their pieces and if someone has submitted two or more songs that week, they can say "I'd rather have this one". If they forget to submit and their piece is REALLY good you can just look over it for them.
Also their videos must have been uploaded on the day that topic was made +7 days.

I'll start that now.

You guys get to decide whether or not you want Phantom Ganon or LoAtR next week. Ermm... Well, I really don't mind, if I'm honest. You can enter it into next week's if you want, but I might have released something else by next week. By saying "might", does that excuse me if I don't? XDSorry about the confusion. That's quite alright, it's understandable that some songs may be overlooked, especially seeing as new songs crop up as often as they do now.

It must be a hefty chore to run SotW. I think you're deserving of a big thank-you from me for taking on such a job! I agree with ^. There are a ton of songs to keep track of, so you recieve my thanks as well for keeping this awesome idea up. ^^ Anyway, along with things already suggested, it might help you just to allow duplicates from an artist. This would prevent the trouble of having to ask a person which one they want in, and the stress of having to choose for them if they don't reply. Plus this would allow you to just focus on gathering songs rather than worrying about getting more than one from the same person. Besides, if a person takes the time to make two in one week, and both songs are quality compositions, then both should be considered, right? ^^ Hopefully that makes sense. Sorry if it's a terrible idea. XP I have those sometimes.

I want it to be as fair as possible.
