I would like to try my hand at a hyper-speed song. But... I have no idea what to do.
Can anyone suggest one? If there is a Mega Man X theme that no one's done...
I prefer songs with strong percussion and a focus on rhythm. Look at my vids for ideas!
PS: Yes, it is pitiful that I have to ask you guys what to do next. But... I feel that, even though I started MPC's dominance of Youtube, I am being swiftly left behind (no pun intended) by these hyperdrive songs.

Well Ice Peguin and Armored Armadillo have been done, but they haven't done in HYPERDRIVE (lol) or with a different soundset. But my suggestion is SMRPG: Fight Againt Koopa Theme.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Final Boss (Big baby bowser). But I don't think that anybody can do this.

I've done 4/8 of the Megaman X stage themes hyperspeed now. I think every theme has been done at least once. Maybe look into X2 or X3? [by the way, would you mind if I evenutally took up Storm Eagle? I have a goal to do all 8 stage themes for MMX, but I don't want to come off as rude, seeing as you have already done it!] I can't suggest anything for you, especially since I can't even find anything for myself to make right now If I were to offer any advice at all: Pick a song that you REALLY like. You'll end up quitting for sure if you don't. 16x tempo = 16x work

Hm. A hyperspeed song? Like a tempo of above 1500 or 2000 or what? I would recommend (if you want video game music) a Banjo Tooie or Donkey Kong 64 boss theme. But seeing as how you want a percussion oriented song, you might want to think otherwise. Grant Kirkhope has a tendency to accentuate strings and brass.

You can do it, Levus. I've already gotten one.
I'm doing the Saffron City Theme in hyperspeed for the contest. I'm not sure if the tempo is 100% correct (I doubt it), but I estimated the right tempo for the song in normal tempo, and then Xed by 8.

It's got triplets, so I'm multiplying the tempo by 12 (it should be 24, but that's way too impractical)
