is this usable, or is it merely for show? that would be awesome if each of the sprites were like different octaves. it'd be a nice add-on to MPC v3.0 if it's ever made

Yeah, anyone can use them if they wish. By the way - should I build off the Sonic Paint joke, and make a full set of Sonic instrument sprites too? THAT would be EPIC

Woah, these look really cool, how do you use them in MPC? I like this idea of using custom sprites, and I'd like to try this out.

We should totally talk Rehd into using these Sprites for SMP...

Hahaha, I've already somewhat done some of the sprites myself for Super Mario Paint though I'm interested in seeing what kinds of things we can get here.

At some point, I will post the sprites that I've already made for Super Mario Paint since that might be helpful to know.

Yes yes. Thats awesome. And the new sprites look awesome too. But is there a way. To use them. In Mario Paint Composer?

In Mario Paint Composer, not unless you hack the source code (which I have on my computer, by the way actually, since I got it from the UnFunGames source bundle)
I looked at it in Notepad++ and deemed it easier for myself to restructure it since there are lots of hard-coded things that aren't necessarily good coding practice - a lot of which I attribute to the high glitch rate of Mario Paint Composer.

Ah. Well, thanks anyway :3
OH wait. Have you considered having the option to use customized sprites in Super Mario Paint? I mean, I don't know much about programming, but would that be a possible thing to happen? If so, I would definately be motivated to make a few custom sprite packs that I think would be pretty cool.

I have to upvote this. I know you already have a shitload of stuff on your plate Rehd, but this being possible in SMP in the future would be so beast.

So, the way that I'm programming this thing actually already allows for this to happen Just replace the folder of the sprites with your own custom pictures..... I'll give specs when it's actually finalized, though.
