GO KILL YOURSELF.
THIS IS NOTHING LIKE TWILIGHT, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HE WAS IN LOVE WITH SOMEBODY.

Who cares if it's nerdy? In this day, nerdy's cool again.
Also, it wasn't kind of nerdy. It was full-blown nerd humor, and I loved every second of it.

I went out and got the first Scott Pilgrim book yesterday. I got home and started reading it, and before I knew it I'd finished it all in one! I wasn't sure whether I'd like it much, but actually it was awesome. xD

I don't think you had to be that nerdy to appreciate the humor, as my dad was with me when I saw it, and he loved it just as much as I did. I thought the movie was hilarious -- really creative as well!

I saw the movie twice. First time I hated it because the person I saw it with didn't enjoy it. Second time around I thought it was a lot better because the person I saw it with liked it, and I knew what to expect (first time I thought it wasn't going to be a reality bender, so...) I understand that in a forum such as this, what I'm about to say is going to alienate myself from a lot of you, but I don't find constant video game references awesome or funny. If someone mentions something that has to do with a video game, I don't get excited or anything. I used to be big on the whole area of video game obsession, but it's really died down lately. I'm just not the nerd I once was.....nowadays all the people I see at my school who automatically label something as "awesome," just because it's from a video game actually irritate me. That being said, all the references to video games in Scott Pilgrim I found really lame, to be quite honest. What I did enjoy was the dazzling visuals and amazing soundtrack (BECK!!!)

As far as the movie itself, it just doesn't seem all that interesting to me for some reason. Just could be because I'm not a movie person in general, but it doesn't really grab me enough to want to see it. That being said, all the references to video games in Scott Pilgrim I found really lame, to be quite honest. What I did enjoy was the dazzling visuals and amazing soundtrack (BECK!!!) Wait, Beck!? I have to see it now.

There actually weren't that many video game references, per say. The ones in the movie were few, like the Pokey Means Business tea and some of Scott Pilgrim's shirts. Most of the references you guys are thinking of are comic book-styled.
Also, I really was going to make an "inb4 WeeJ."

They're not showing this at my local theaters anymore, so I'm waiting for the DVD to come out
