I MIGHT be getting my sister's iPod Touch, and so I started wondering about a MPC app.
I know nothing about iPhones or iPod Touches so I know nothing about the app-making process, but I'd imagine the program would run like this:
Of course, this is all speculation as there'd be liscencing issues with Nintendo and perhaps UnFunGames, but still, I'd buy the app (if I had an iPodTouch)
I know nothing about iPhones or iPod Touches so I know nothing about the app-making process, but I'd imagine the program would run like this:
- The first screen is a main menu of sorts, it'd probably contain stuff like "New Song" "Load Song" "Load Arrangement" and "Soundfont". (I'm thinking that latter would be a way to choose a preloaded soundfont that comes with the app and perhaps new soundfonts could be added through updates.
- The actual meat of the program (the song maker) could go like this maybe: The screen would be held horizontally and you'd only see the staff (no mario heads, planes, or cars) and a few buttons like "Play" "Stop" "Tempo" "Time Signature" along the side and a scroll bar at the bottom. You add notes by clicking on a specific line of the staff, which goes to a new mode. Here, the screen would be held vertically and you'd see all the indevidual notes on the beat you selected. Along the side would be the icons (mario to the boo) an "Erase" button, and a "Back" button. After laying down your notes, you'd go back to the actual song and play.
- The arranger mode could be entirely seperate from the song mode (to eliminate the need for an extra button on the song mode screen) and it could work like this: The screen would be held vertically and would be devided into two parts: at the top you'd see the staff showing the notes (for viewing purposes only) and at the bottom you'd see the typical arranger buttons, "Play" "Stop" "Move Song Up/Down" "Delete Song" along with the song list.
- The only problem would be recording songs. As I said I don't know the capabilities of the iPhone and iPod Touch, but perhaps there could be an export feature where the song would be recorded automatically and exported as a video straight to iTunes which could be put onto your computer or go straight to YouTube from your phone.
Of course, this is all speculation as there'd be liscencing issues with Nintendo and perhaps UnFunGames, but still, I'd buy the app (if I had an iPodTouch)
