Has anyone ever heard of a Game Boy Soundtrack file (.gbs)? There's a piece for Game Boy that I'd like to do but only if I can look at a 100% accurate transcription. Many soundtracks to Game Boy games can be found as .gbs , and I was wondering if anyone knows how to convert them to midi (or speculates on how to convert them to MIDI). Could anyone be of help/discussion here? There doesn't seem to be much information about .gbs files available, which is a pity; it's getting kinda frustrating to look.

I'm not sure, there could be a program which converts them to midi (like GYM2MID) but so far I havnt found one. However there are tools I think for logged music like this.

Gym2mid didn't work for me, unfortunately. :/ I think you're right that there has to be a program somewhere. I found "Virtual GameBoy" which is an emulator that claims to be able to save the soundtrack directly as a MIDI file. I don't know whether or not that's true; it costs $19.99! Still, having 100% accurate MIDIs of Game Boy games may be worth it in the long run.

there's probably a free emulator that can do that then Looks we have to find one, because all the emulators I've seen dont support logging.
