Mario Paint 2.0 gave me the tools to do the job much, much better than before... it's like the shyguy, coin, and boo were made for the piece.
However, I'm having extreme difficulty with 2 things... 1) Percussion rhythm: I'm finding it difficult to pick out. Where, exactly, does the drum beat start anyway? Beginning of the third repeat? Somewhere in the second? 2) Percussion volume: With it sharing beats with other notes, and instruments like the coin and boo being so soft... the drums can ruin the ambiance. >_>
Any suggestions?

If you look at the form, it goes a little something like..
Intro -> AAB AAC D -> so on (variations).
The soft sweep comes in on the second time of the AA section,
The percussion comes in on D and begins to build, and is full on by the time the Aish section hits again.
If you're not sure where I'm talking about, the section where the percussion fades in is at 1:28~1:29. At the start, it's basically inaudible. For the first 8, its still very quiet, but it picks up a little into the second 8.
As for the volume, one obvious solution is to take a quicker tempo at the part where it builds. You can crescendo it up to the varied A section and then fall back to your normal tempo when the drums are louder.
Hope that helps.

If you don´t know how to edit soundfonts I can help you, I can edit the original soundfont to lower or raise the volume of specific instruments so you won´t have to deal with dick-speeds, if you need some help with that just let me know.
