TLoZ series is so awesome, it deserves a topic. Discuss anything Zelda-related here. For me it´s my second favorite Video Games series, next to Final Fantasy, some complains though, the last games have been a bit on the easy side (WW & TP, I finished both without dying once, c´mon!). I don´t think Nintendo will increase the difficulty on the next game, you know, with all the casual audience on wii. I would like the next Zelda to have the style of Wind Waker, probably the most stylish-beautiful-looking game I´ve played (sorry Mario Galaxy). well, discuss

I've heard that in the next Zelda game, there's a unique hint system that was patented, but I don't know too much about it. Apparently, it's optional though, which I suppose is nice. If the hint system exists, though, then they better put the difficulty up pretty high -- like Ocarina of Time high or even Majora's Mask high. The best parts about Zelda games, however, are the side-quests and unlockables; Phantom Hourglass was a bit scanty on those, but I liked the Kinstones of Minish Cap, and who can say no to 100 Skulltullas or 36 pieces of heart?
Even the 2D Zelda games had optional stuff to get -- secret seashells, rings, heart pieces, not to mention opening every treasure chest. I loved the Zelda games for Game Boy; that's how I got started playing the series, and I hope Zelda games continue to be abundant with puzzles and unlockables.

They could pull a Megaman 9 and give us a Zelda games as it was meant to be seen. In all it's 16-bit pixelated glory(I'm hoping something like aLttP).
That would be a breath of fresh air...

Best Video Game series ever. Here are my Top 5 Favorites in the Series. 1. Majora's Mask 2. Wind Waker 3. Link's Awakening 4. Oracle of Ages 5. Twilight Princess
Its a shame that Majora's Mask is so underrated. Its definitely the deepest and one of the most challenging games in the series. But too many people hate it just because its basically a Sequel to OoT.

I loved the apocalyptic feel presented in Majora's Mask. That's what makes it so unique. And I did like that the majority of the character types were recycled from Ocarina of Time. It's like foil characters, dopplegangers, or counterparts; I thought it was neat.

^ Agreed. I loved WW and MM even after playing just the first few minutes. I want to see the next one styled like WW, too, because in WW you had tons of freedom, there were countless amounts of minigames and side quests, and charting all of the islands was fun too. It had excellent music and I enjoyed the Tingle Tuner. And if it were to be implemented in the next Zelda, how would online play work? I liked the multiplayer aspect of PH, but I think it was a bit shallow. My bro thinks that you should be able to roam around the overworld online with other players...

I think that if they do make another WW-styled game (possibly another sequel), then Vaati would be the main villain, making his triumphant 3D entrance!

Maybe the next Zelda game could be based around the time of the flood. Like before the flood starts. Then the ending could be the flood. That could give some emotion in a Zelda game.
Miyamoto, DO IT!

^^ Yes Make it have BETTER graphics than TP while having Vaati as the Main Villain. Also... Has anyone heard the "No Link" rumor?

Yeah, that would be an interesting twist. I remember the Valley of Deluge rumour that was false, but if it was real, it would have been the most epic Zelda yet.

Zelda without Link is like a chair without legs. Or a bed without a mattress. Or a bookbag without a bag. Or a piano without keys. Or-- um, need I go on?
I doubt that the next Zelda game won't have Link in it. Double negatives for the Not Lose! That would risk annoying too many fans, and it would risk there being a truly bad non-CDi Zelda game. We don't want LoZ to go down the same path as Sonic.

Wind Waker for me. Really fun, cartoon cel-shaded graphics, open sea to sail in, bright blue sky and an interesting story line. Doesn't get any better than that.

My favorite Zelda moment has to be in a Link to the past when you first step out of the sanctuary after rescuing Zelda and the Overworld theme begins to play in all it´s 16 bit glory, it´s a day time, you see the colorful Hyrule and you realize that you have a huge world to explore. Ah the nostalgia, after more than 13 years I still remember that first playthrough.
Random story, I´m 20+, I got this game a month after it was released, me and my family went on vacation to California, we went to Toys r us and I convinced my mom to buy it, with my SNES in Mexico I couldn´t wait to get back home and play it, those were 2 LONG weeks.
