Hmm... I downloaded Lihyahm's recompile, and it still doesn't seem to work for my computer. I also updated DirectX to 9.0c.

This would help if I knew what DirectX was...how do I check what version I have? Also, Ford, do you have any idea whether this bug will be completely fixed when you release the actual version of this?

ok I figured it out. When you add the soundfont to Advanced, it actually renames the whole file, and I didn't have another file to back up my MPC soundfont (Cat ur soundfont rocks )

The fluidsynth I compiled myself can be downloaded here. What am I supposed to do with this file? Just save it over the old fluidsynth? I tried, but it didn't work.

It won't work for everyone, just like the fluidsynth that FordPrefect compiled.

I've got everything updated. Drivers, DirectX, SP1, and it doesn't work. would the MPC fluidsynth be compateable with this?

Ok, I'll try compiling the ol' fluidsynth for myself now... I'll post results sometime soon.Result: After messing around with the fluidsynth, I've finally got it to work! Lihyahm posted this link somewhere here, but here it is again for information purposes. This is how I got the sound to work www.mail-archive.com/fluid-dev@nongnu.org/msg00745.html
