Ok, I am working on my sounfont, but I have run into a problem.
I put in a Xylophone sound, but the effect of it is too great. So when it plays through, it doesn't end the previous sound, which it should because its a Xylophone, but its too loud and annoying to hear what's going on. How can I make the sound fade faster?

You can find this list of parameters by selecting the instrument you want to edit in the list of instruments. Setting the Vol Env Decay to a smaller number will begin the fade-out sooner. The Vol Env Release determines how long the fade-out will last. Knowing that much, you should be able to adjust your sound accordingly to whatever you'd like. Edit: I forgot to mention the volume issue. If you set the attenuation to a larger number, it'll make the sound quieter. 0 will produce the same at the same volume as the sample you're using, but the higher it goes, the quieter it'll be. Edit: One last thing, it shouldn't matter if you edit under just the one global split or if you edit each individual instrument split. Just make sure that if you decide to edit the splits that you make sure you edit all of 'em to make sure the changes in the sound you make become universal across the entire instrument.
