Something that would really be helpful to me would be to know how to increase or decrease an instrument by an octave using Viena. If anyone can explain to me (in depth) how to do this, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

What I do for this is that I export the .wav file, use an editor like the Windows Sound Recorder to speed it up / slow it down to change octaves. Speeding up by 100% (doubling the speed) increases the octave by 1. Slowing down by 50% (halving the speed) decreases the octave by 1. Then I re-import the wave sample.

Um, I think (if I can remember) you change the root key value? I think adding or subrating 12 makes it an octave higher or lower.
