I remember someone posted something about a JI soundfont a while back, I'm not sure if this is what they were talking about, but I have an idea and it seems like it should be relatively easy to implement (easier than my Bohlen-Pierce idea anyway...).
My idea is to take a soundfont like the Piano, or even better Organ (because organs have such rich overtones, the difference would be HUGELY noticeable), and set one third of the instruments about 12 cents sharper throughout, one third of the instruments the same amount flatter, and keep one third at normal. This would allow adjustment for almost any chord and get very close to pure just intonation.
For example, the equal tempered major third is about 14 cents sharp. That's pretty nasty. Lowering it by 12 cents will make a huge difference. The ET minor third is flat almost 16 cents; adding 12 cents will make a similarly pleasant difference.
I know Viena has the ability to adjust samples by cents, but I'm not really sure what to do after that. I'm working with the Piano soundfont. Would I need to make copies of all the samples, change the copies, then set some of the instruments to play the altered copies instead of the original?

Hmm this is a pretty interesting idea...
I don't really know what you would have to do in Viena. I don't have it downloaded on my new computer yet so I can't check X-P

Yes, that's what I was remembering when I said someone posted about JI. But I think it's only just for one key, and my idea is to be able to adjust fluidly to any key or chord.

I really like the idea, but I can't help you much with Viena, I just downloaded it.
