I have been putting together a world soundfont for your cultural songs (with some synth effects)and I need help with the instruments. Here is what I have so far: Mario:Steel Pan Mushroom: Samba Drum set Star: Music Box Flower: Trumpet Gameboy: Piano Dog:Violin Solo Cat: Clarinet Pig:Accordion Swan: Church Organ Face: Harp Plane: Sitar Boat: Orchestra Percussion Car: Atmosphere Heart:Bass Coin: Cello Boo:  Plant: String Ensemble ShyGuy: Pan flute Thanks, -X |

You can ABSOLUTELY not have a world/ethnic soundfont without a cello. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Therefore, I suggest cello. (well you could, but I'd be sad)
Also, I suggest choir, and I also recommend brass ensemble to accompany trumpet. Please for percussion have a timpani/low resonating drum.
World music/orchestra is pretty much all that's on my Zune at the moment, so I know my stuff, yo. xD
EDIT:
Oh, and perhaps acoustic guitar, or something like that. It accompanies songs very well, as well as goes well with sitar. xP
