help with soundfont creating

hey guys ive been trying to make a soundfont using the tutorial from delaythepickup on youtube but when i make instruments i dont hear anything, when i press new instrument it says There are no samples in this soundfont, but you can copy samples from other open soundfonts.

can some 1 help?

i have the right samples but im confused

I talked to Balloon303 about it (another expert on Viena) and he said he wasn't really sure what your issue is, the way you worded it. However, he says that if it's any help, when you start out completely fresh in Viena and you have some .wav files you can add (such as maybe the samples you are talking about?), you can do the following:

1. Click "Add Smpl" at the top

2. Choose your .wav file. It will then appear in the list of audio samples.

3. Once it's there, go to Instruments on the left and right-click and choose "New Instrument"

4. Select your samples and then hit "Ok"

5. Go to Presets and choose "New Preset". Choose the instrument you made with the samples you just added.

That should hopefully do the trick

nothing seems to be working when i make a new instrument it says this s765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/ratchetxrc/?action=view¤t=untitled.png but then it lets me choose the samples but they make no sound.

the same thing happens with the presets
