I'm trying to get a USB controller to work with a PC version of Team Fortress 2, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with configuring it.
Now, before y'all start with the hate comments about how a controller of any kind is inferior to a keyboard/mouse, I KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES. I know I will probably get pwn'd, repeatedly. You don't need to tell me. I just like using a controller more than a keyboard/mouse, so don't hate me for that.
Now my problem is that I can't seem to configure the controller (a Vinyson Dual-shock, it looks like a PS2 controller) so that I can aim with the right analog stick. All the other controller buttons and the left stick work fine in the game, and the right stick works fine in the control panel settings, but the R-stick just won't work with Team Fortress 2 in-game.
Now I've tried everything to try and get the controller to work to its fullest potential. I've tried going to mouse options and "enabling the joystick," I've tried increasing the sensitivity of the aiming settings, I've tried "swapping the sticks on a dual-stick controller," and I've tried reversing the Y axis. NOTHING WORKS!
If anyone who has the same problems as me, please bump this thread.
Or if anyone knows how to fix this problem, please for the love god, POST ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP! Don't discriminate against your controller-wielding brethren!
Thank you for listening, that is all.
VERY IMPORTANT EDIT! I just found that xpadder solves this problem perfectly. It can be downloaded here www.megaupload.com/?d=45EY8RBS. Please disregard everything I said here (excluding this edit).
