Still in MAJOR WiP. I've decided to make a Mega Man X soundset. One that's actually real *cough*. I'm still a beginner at making soundsets though. Here are the instruments I have ripped from the Mega Man X ROMS so far: Overdrive Guitar Distorted Guitar Some sort of Synth Brass Picked Bass (but needs to be re-ripped due to volume issues) Bass Kick Snare High Hat Cymbal The ones I have on the soundfont so far are: Overdrive Guitar Distorted Guitar Bass Kick Snare High Hat Cymbal Here's a little preview of it: s81.photobucket.com/albums/j233/Levusbevus/?action=view¤t=mmxpreview.flvIf anyone can point me to MMX (or X2 or X3) stages that have Toms used in them, I'd be happy. Also if anyone can point me towards a song that has square/saw synth or higher-pitched bass, I'd be even more happy.

I think the most ironic thing is that this is what Heat claimed to have done. And it's the same song you used as your testbed. =/
Oh yeah, and the soundset is frickin' awesome.

That's awesome, I can't to the final product.
I think the intro stage of MMX uses toms and the synth, but I don't know about the picked bass.
One more thing, the third note for the cats is a Bb I think.

I lol'd.
Having never played MMX, this would be a pointless soundfont for me. But it's still pretty sweet!

I tried asking adolfobaez how to rip sounds from video games, but he didn't tell me. So how do I rip sounds from video games? I always wanted to create special soundfont based on certain video games.

Three can play at that game. I'm also gonna reserve first dibs on a couple of songs:
1. Overdrive Ostrich Chill Penguin 2. Tunnel Rhino
EDIT: Forget Overdrive Ostrich; I'd rather do Chill Penguin.

you could have the guitar I used for MMX Gravity Beetle, if you can handle multisampled soundfonts All I did for said guitar was take a distortion guitar and combine it with a square lead.

SNES9X. You can mute sound channels. I just had one sound channel playing and recorded about a minute of each channel. Then I find the most sustained note I can find and save it as a .wav and import it into Viena and commence with the transposing.

I think the Spark Mandrill stage theme has toms in it.

Oh sorry, I didn´t read your message, where did you posted it? well, I use ZSNES to mute the sound channels so only one instrument is playing, then I record the longest note and then make the soundfont in vienna soundfont studio
