I wanted to edit some soundfonts, so I got Viena. The help option isn't working on my computer, so I'm asking for help around here. I've fiddled around enough to find a chance to upload some audio samples, but I have none. I searched them up on Google, but everything I clicked on had a price tag on it. Point is, I don't how to make heads or tails of any of this. I would think that an FAQ on all this would be quite useful for clueless sorts like myself. A step-by-step intructional manual is all I'm really asking.

It's very concise and not very informative, but it's a basic tutorial. I'm gonna make a FAQ once I solve my problems.

he took a bunch of samples, put it into an instrument, and then twaked each one seperately, but by just a little. Anyway, to do a section you might want to take multiple different samples and put them together. It might be a little loud still, but it will change the sound more like a section, hopefully for the better.

It takes me about 3 minutes to make 1 sample so I dont think its that bad but it is still very effective for finding samples.

I need help on how to increase the volume of my preset. I've made sample at good volume then I made an instrument at good volume then I made a preset which, on the piano, sounded loud enough but when I used the soundfont on mario paint, it was damn quiet. I am using viena......

Can't you just use dickspeed? even if you can make it even for each pitch, you can't exactly control how fast or slow it does it (it can only be set to one length). besides, what's the need?

I need to reduce the volume of the car for the next song I'm doing but I have no clue about how to reduce volume though.

Postive attenuation = Less volume Negative attenuation = More volume Thanks.

Sorry for the double post but, how do I increase the octave of an instrument?

Root Key + 12 = lower Root Key -12 = higher So for every -12 is an octave higher? So is -24 two octaves up?

also, C5 is supposed to be Middle C, but In mario paint it is the C in the staff. So the real "Root Key" for MPC is actually 48.

No, you have to add or subtract 12 from the existing root key value. If there isn't one, it's most likely 60, so try that first, and then if there's no change, add or subtract 12 from that.

How negative do I need to go to increase the volume? I've been trying a bunch of values, and none of them seem to make a difference.
