I have no problems Ford. I haven't posted anything AMS related in a while and wanted to give you some updates.
The program runs fine, there are no errors for me. I only have two concerns.
I'm not sure this was on purpose considering everyone has the same thing, but the blue slide bar doesn't move when you click the play button. If it's possible to move it that would be a great way to show people the song's progress. I think you might have some problems with tempo changes though.
My other concern is that AMS gets a lot of glitches at fast tempos like 4,000 or 8,000. It sticks, it freezes, and it skips notes. It might be a program usage problem or a FluidSynth processing problem.

I'm not sure this was on purpose considering everyone has the same thing, but the blue slide bar doesn't move when you click the play button. I didn't implement it because the progress bar has some serious rounding errors when you have a song with decent length. I wanted to fix this before I add this feature, and I didn't fix it yet. I'm not a dickspeed user and so I didn't design the AMS primarily for dickspeed. However, this will see major improvement once I ported everything to OpenGL.

I'm still having trouble with my AMS, (see page 4,) even after erasing it and reinstalling it.

I'm still having trouble with my AMS, (see page 4,) even after erasing it and reinstalling it. I can't imaging where the problem is, but as there was another post with a similar problem, I'll try to make the next AMS data format less vulnerable to such errors.

First, I just wanted to say: awesome work on this program. Great job you've done here ;D Anyway, I've been getting the same errors as other people: I've only noticed it happening when dealing with files imported from MPC. When I save an imported file it crashes with the top error, and when I try to open the saved file that it created before crashing, I get the bottom error. I haven't noticed this with any other files that I create from scratch within AMS. Hope this helps! (Running Windows 7 Professional Edition 32-bit, with Direct X 11 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo Processor with 3 gb of ram; also running AMS in XP-compatability mode w/admin privledges)

Try saving your songs in the same folder as you soundfont(s). It worked for me, so you should give it a shot. I hope I helped!

Tried this and I keep getting the same errors EDIT: Upon reading some the other thread about the sound font problem, I managed to somehow solve the problem: I had been using the default arrangement of AMS the entire time - i.e. straight from the zip file, no soundfont customization etc. Curiously enough, I tried the "Add Soundfont" option and simply selected the MarioPaintOriginal.sf2 file that came in the zip file - the program worked perfectly fine afterwards; no errors when saving MPC-imported files or opening files saved after having done this. Could possibly be a problem with the default soundfont when you open the program for the first time. Noticed that when I closed and re-opened AMS that I'd again get the same errors until I manually loaded the soundfont from the file, meaning I'd have to do this step every time I opened the program. Also I noticed this while trying to save: (top = before manually loading sound font; bottom = after manually loading sound font)

Nice debugging, zero.
It might have something to do with the fact that I coded the initial start sequence with the very first Beta version. It installs the main SoundFont somewhere in your user directory. As I proceeded with the releases, I almost never tested if that sequence still works, as I already had the SoundFont file in the right directory from tests with the previous release. I might have screwed something up there, so that the current release doesn't work properly if started on a PC that never hosted the previous versions.

My pleasure - I know how much detailed bug reports help, so I figured I'd make it as detailed as possible. Another thing too - what's up with the lack of the default extention when you load a soundfont file? could that also be affecting crashes?

When I save on a Vista machine, the program seems to have the OutOfBounds exception if there is a note below the low G...

Another thing too - what's up with the lack of the default extention when you load a soundfont file? could that also be affecting crashes? This is possibly due to REALbasic's platform-independant features. I use the same code for saving files on Windows and MacOSX although the mechanism is quite different - Windows has its extentions, MacOSX has Creator IDs, and as I test mostly on MacOSX, I might have missed some Windows-specific code, and that causes this bug. RehdBlob: Do you have any special font installed as your default System font (eg asian characters)? Try to save a song with only high notes and open it in an editor, see if the letters used for the notes are non-capital latin letters.

Hey, whenever I try to load a song, it tells me "An exception of class XmlReaderException was not handled. The application must shut down. Exception Message: unclosed token Exception Error Number: 5" Can anyone help me with this? I've attached a picture of the error as well. Attachments:
