Tripleted 16th notes, or 3 16ths covering the space of 2. A set of triplets cover the space of a quarter note. A set of 16th triplets cover the space of an eighth note. A set of 32nd triplets would cover the space of a 16th note, a set of 64th triplets would cover the space of a 32nd note... and so on. Cypher

I honestly thought at first that Dickspeed would be way too hard to achieve, but it really isn't. It just takes a while, yet it's very easy to do.
I find starting off with percussion as a base to build around makes things work out a lot better since it's a steady rhythm throughout (mostly). In the middle, between the first and second measure (where you see line 1 and line 2 in 4/4 time, the line at the middle of both) is a good starting point to build around that (for those willing to learn about this too).

Hm i always do percussion last. I put the bass in first usually, then melody and harmony. I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as it yields the same result, right?

I agree with delaythepickup, dickspeed needs way to much counting. That, and one needs to be comfortable with using it in the first place.

Well, it never hurts to try. I may try using dickspeed as an experiment.

It's fun to use, but there's just a massive amount of counting... It also looks like the penultimate part(s) of the Imperial March on MPC will break a speed record! (I have also found another breaking point of the tempo gap while doing this part)

Dickspeed Numbers to remeber.
Which note is shown with each line / Multiplier for tempo / How long is a note from one yellow line to the next / Where do the whole notes start and end / Number of whole notes you can fit in one song
Quarter Note / x1 / Whole Note / Every Yellow Line / 96 8th Note / x2 / Half Note / Every Odd Number / 48 16th Note / x4 / Quarter Note / 1,5,9,13,17,21,25,29,33,37,41,45,49,53,57,61,65,69,73,77,81,85,89,93,End / 24 32th Note / x8 / 8th Note / 1,9,17,25,33,41,49,57,65,73,81,89,End / 12 64th Note / x16 / 16th Note / 1,17,33,49,65,81,End / 6 128th Note / x32 / 32nd Note / 1,33,65,End / 3

Some composers use a buffer measure in the first song file so they can fit every instrument by going into that buffer measure. Therefore, their first file effectively starts at measure 2, and thus will have one less full whole note in the song.

It's a lot easier than it looks. yeah you just multiply the tempo by at least 2 (depending on how fast the original is, then space the notes out that much. i.e: tempo x 4, space notes 4 times as much
